Affordable Care

We are committed to helping patients achieve affordable care. We accept CareCredit® financing, which breaks the cost of treatment into affordable monthly payments. We also offer lower-cost implant options such as All-on-4® treatment.

The Cost of Dental Implants Payment and Financing Options

Dental implants are more expensive than traditional bridges or dentures, yet many feel that the benefits justify the cost of care. We will work with you to find an affordable solution.

The Average Cost

The cost of dental implants varies based on many factors. This may include the replacement of one tooth or multiple teeth and the need for additional surgeries. We can provide a cost breakdown during your visit.

Insurance and Implants

Insurance rarely covers the cost of dental implants, though plans may cover the implant-supported denture. Since policies differ, it's important that patients contact their insurance provider directly to learn more.

Financing Options

If the total cost is too much of a financial burden, CareCredit® can help put dental implants within reach. CareCredit will break the total cost of implant treatment into affordable monthly installment payments.

What Are Dental Implants? Understanding the Basics

There are many misconceptions about dental implants and how they work. Below are some of the basics about implants so patients understand what they are able to do.

Artificial Tooth Roots

Dental implants are artificial roots made of titanium. The titanium implants are surgically anchored into the jawbone. As the patient heals, the implant posts fuse with the jawbone in a process known as osseointegration.

Support for Restorations

Implants are topped with abutments used to support crowns, bridges, and dentures. The extent of a patient's tooth loss determines the ideal type of implant restoration as well as how many implants should be placed.

Long-Term Results

The fusion of the titanium implant posts with the jawbone means the implants can last for life. Multiple studies note that dental implants can last 40 years or longer, which means a lifetime of enhanced oral health.

What a great dental office with kind and professional staff from dentist to receptionists. Everyone is helpful and friendly. My husband and I moved from CA where we were very happy with our dentist and staff there and thought we would never find another dentist like the one in CA. We were wrong!

What Are Common Dental Implants Benefits?

There are many great reasons to get dental implants. A number of patients at our Idaho Falls practice have reported the following benefits after their treatment is completed.

Remarkable Stability

Thanks to osseointegration, dental implants are extremely stable. Patients can eat their favorite foods without a crown, bridge, or denture falling out. There are no dental creams or adhesives necessary to avoid slippage.

Prevents Bone Loss

The titanium implants give the jawbone a stable structure to grow around and support. This prevents bone loss from happening along the jaw. Removable bridges and dentures cannot prevent bone loss like implants can.

High Rates of Success

Implant dentistry has a long and proven record of safety and effectiveness. According to some studies, dental implants have a patient success rate of 95 percent and greater. These are oral health results that you can trust.

Renewed Self-Confidence

Thanks to dental implants, patients have a fully restored smile. The implant restoration looks and functions just like natural teeth. You can eat, speak, smile, and laugh without feeling self-conscious about your appearance.

Many Americans Suffer from Missing Teeth

More Americans are missing teeth than you may realize. That helps explain why implant dentistry is growing in popularity. At Sandcreek Dental, we can help you have a fully restored set of teeth.

Making Implant Dentistry Safer Patient-Centered Dental Care

We take care of every patient who visits our practice in Idaho Falls. In addition to thorough screenings, here are key ways we enhance patient experience and safety during the dental implant procedure.

Sedation Dentistry

Some people suffer from anxiety while visiting the dentist. We have different sedation dentistry methods available to help tooth replacement patients achieve a relaxed state. Dr. Tall can complete any dental implant work while the patient is free from fear and stress.

Advanced Technology

Advanced imaging and scanning technology allows our dentist to plan and optimize the implant procedure. Dr. Tall can identify the ideal means of extracting and replacing a tooth, as well as the right position for an implant to be anchored into the jaw.

The Implant Placement Process A Treatment Timeline and Overview

The dental implant procedure takes several months from beginning to end. This step-by-step overview of the implant dentistry process helps patients know what to expect.

Initial Consultation

During the initial consultation, we'll take x-rays, examine tooth gaps, and discuss a patient's goals. This is a chance to voice concerns and get answers to your questions.

Treatment Planning

Using the x-rays and other scans, we will develop a custom treatment plan. This includes planning for the extraction of a tooth or many teeth, as well as bone or gum graft surgery.

Oral Surgery

During the oral surgery, the jawbone is exposed so the dental implant can be anchored into place. Anesthesia and sedation are used to increase safety and minimize discomfort.

Osseointegration

The process of osseointegration will take four to six months to complete. Once the dental implant is fully fused with the patient's jaw, it functions just like the root of a natural tooth.

Placing Abutments

When the dental implant is ready, a second surgery is needed to place the abutment. The final crown, bridge, or denture connects to the dental implant via the abutment.

Second Healing Period

Once the abutment is placed, the gum tissue will need to fully heal. This second recovery period only takes about four to six weeks. Patients must follow their aftercare instructions.

Final Restoration

The final crown, bridge, or denture is crafted by technicians at a dental lab. The durability and realistic appearance of this appliance makes it indistinguishable from natural teeth.

Easily the best experience I've had at a dental office in a long time. The staff was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, and the hygienist was nice and good at her job. Very minimal pokey stabby stuff that we all hate! Big, BIG plus for me. Then there's their equipment! Very updated, comfortable, the whole nine yards. If you're at all interested, give them a shot!
