All-on-4 Dental Implants

Have you been told you have too much bone loss to secure a denture with traditional dental implants?

Dr. Mark Tall of Sandcreek Dental in Idaho Falls, ID, utilizes the All-on-4® dental implant technique, which requires less healthy bone.

How Are All-on-4 Dental Implants Different?

Replacing your teeth with a traditional implant-supported denture can require up to eight dental implants. However, with the All-on-4 technique, our dentist can attach a natural-looking, durable denture to only four dental implants. Thanks to All-on-4, patients can enjoy all of the benefits of implant-supported dentures while paying for fewer implants and avoiding preparatory bone grafting. On top of that, in some cases, patients can even receive their replacement teeth on the same day as their implant surgery.

Often No Preparation

When a tooth is lost, the jawbone begins to atrophy at that site. Because of this, patients often need to receive a bone graft in order to build a strong enough base for traditional dental implants. All-on-4 implants, however, are placed at a strategic angle that requires less healthy bone tissue, so patients can often skip the bone grafting process.

Just Four Implants

Traditional implant-supported dentures rely on as many as eight posts, but the All-on-4 system just needs four. Two implants, which function like the roots of a natural tooth, are placed vertically, and the other two are placed at a 45-degree angle for greater stability. Using fewer implants is easier on your mouth and can often cost less.

Walk Out Wearing a Smile

This newer method can also shorten your treatment timeline, often allowing the dentist to place your implants and an implant-supported restoration in a single day, so you won't have to wait months for the posts to fuse with the bone.

Easily the best experience I've had at a dental office in a long time. The staff was knowledgeable and willing to answer questions and the hygienist was nice and good at her job. Very minimul pokey stabby stuff that we all hate! Big BIG plus for me. Then there's the fact of their equipment! Very updated, comfortable, the whole nine yards. If you're at all interest give them a shot!

Are You a Good Candidate?

If you've been told you lack the bone mass required for an implant-supported denture, the less-invasive All-on-4 method could be ideal for you.

The All-on-4 method uses smaller and fewer implants, so it requires less healthy bone tissue.

During your initial consultation, our dentist will perform a series of tests to determine the health of your jaw, gums, and any remaining teeth. Dr. Tall will be able to recommend the right restorative solution for you.
